Desde muy ni\u00f1o gener\u00f3 una fuerte conexi\u00f3n con el oc\u00e9ano y la vida marina, que describe como &#8220;el otro mundo&#8221;, cuando bucea se identifica especialmente con el pez Mero por su &#8220;personalidad&#8221; curiosa; adem\u00e1s Don Diego tiene sus ra\u00edces bien ancladas a la tierra, &#8216;el monte&#8217; como le llaman en el Pac\u00edfico, donde aprendi\u00f3 a amar el cultivo de la ca\u00f1a y aprendi\u00f3 el arte de destilar viche.<\/p>\n\t<p>Diego's passion for viche production began in his childhood thanks to his maternal grandfather, Cesar Vald\u00e9s. He spent a lot of time with him in Coqu\u00ed, Choc\u00f3, very close to a beautiful stream that Diego remembers fondly. He was fascinated by the process of viche preparation and watched attentively as his grandfather distilled it. The predominant type is the yellow cane, the same one harvested by his grandfather. Diego feels fulfilled when he engages in tasks such as harvesting the cane, thanks to his strong connection with the land.
